Weston-super-Mare
(from the west)

  • Head east out of the town on the A370
  • Turn onto the A371 and continue north easterly to Banwell
  • Continue through the village, past the shops and into the narrow section.
  • After approximately 100 yards turn left at the Bell Inn onto the A368.
  • Stay on this road through Sandford and Churchill.
  • At the traffic lights continue straight on.
  • Follow the road through Lower Langford and follow the road past the turnoff to Burrington Coombe on your right.
  • After approximately 400 yards, follow the road around a sharp right hand bend, and continue on to Rickford.
  • Continue through Rickford and through to Blagdon.
  • Continue past the "Queen Adelaide" on your left, and go through the narrow section.
  • Just before a sharp right hand bend, turn left down the hill.
  • Continue to follow the road down the hill ignoring all turn-offs. As the road widens out you will see the lake directly in front of you.
  • Continue down the hill until you are nearly on the dam. Just past the inspection house on your right and opposite the entrance to the pumping station turn right.
  • Follow the road round for approximately 200 yards. The entrance to the lodge is on your left.
