The Bywash
For bank fishermen, fishing from the byewash itself is prohibited but occasionally very low water levels (6 feet or more below top level) will expose the silt spit that runs out from the bywash which has provided very good late season fishing over a number of years.

The
area of the Bywash is almost inaccessible to bank fishermen but
provides good boat fishing throughout the year. Drifts into or out
from the dam are productive and fishing at anchor is always worth
a try.
