Pipe Bay

Lake mapCheddar WaterPolish Water Pipe Bay is the shallow "pan" between Cheddar Water and the fishing Lodge.

At higher water levels, Pipe Bay only offers bank fishermen access in two areas - immediately behind the oak tree on the corner of Cheddar Water and fishing down the pipe itself which carries water from Rickford spring by gravity. The flowing water attracts some out of condition fish in the early part of the season and attracts good numbers of fish into the whole bay area particularly following heavy downpours after long dry spells. The bay becomes more accessible if the water level is down by more than ten feet.

For boat fishermen, Pipe Bay offers good drift and anchor fishing throughout the year but performs at its best in the early part and back end of the season.
